다니엘7장에 등장하는 4마리의 야수들의 정체에 대하여 워치타워협회는 잘못 가르치고있다. 다니엘7장4절의 사자같이 생긴 "야수"를 "바벨론"이라고 가르치며, 곰처럼생긴 갈빗대3개를 물고있는 야수를 메데-페르시아, 표범처럼 생긴것을 그리스, 마지막야수를 로마라고 가르친다. 결론부터 말하자면 이것은 잘못된 해석이다. 이기사는 그이유를 분석한다. 먼저 인류역사 전체를 통틀어 몇명의 "왕"이 등장하는가? 이점을 알아내려면 계시록17장10절을 읽어봐야한다. 총7명의"왕"이 등장하게되어 있었다. 일곱왕은  일곱머리로 묘사되었다. 이내용은 다니엘7장의 네짐승과 어떤 연관이 있을까?  다니엘7장에는 네마리의 야수들이 보이고 맨마지막 싯점이되면 열뿔이 등장하고 또다른 작은뿔이 열뿔사이에서나오며, 동시에 3개의뿔을 뽑아버리고, 이작은뿔이 하나님의 거룩한종들을  살해한다음, 하나님의 아들 (인자)같은분에게, 그리고 하나님의 거룩한종들에게 세상나라들이 넘겨지는것으로 묘사되면서 대단원의막을 내린다. 그러한 배경지식은 우리로하여금 다음과같은 결론에 도달하게한다. 1)다니엘7장의 네짐승의묘사는 계시록17장10절의 "일곱왕"의 묘사와 조화가 되어야한다. 2)다니엘7장의  "야수"는 바빌로니아가 이미 세계정부로서 등장을마친 상태이므로, 다니엘7장의 네마리의 야수는 "신 바빌로니아"를 포함하지 않는다. 3)다니엘7장17절은  천사의 해석을 묘사한다. 이내용은 미래에 등장하게될 세계강국으로 묘사했다. 따라서 신바빌로니아는 이미 "현존하는왕"이므로 해당되지 않는다. 4)다니엘7장의 환상을 본때는 이미 이집트와 앗시리아가 세계강국으로 등장한다음이고, 바벨론은 다니엘이 살던 당시의 "왕"이었으므로 이3개의왕을 모두 포함시키고, 다니엘7장에 등장하는 "네명의왕들" 까지 포함시키면 총 일곱개의 "세계정부
