¿Qué opina la watchtower y –forzadamente- los Testigos de Jehová sobre la Unión de Fes y actividades inter-religiosas afines?

Por ello, un acto de unión de fes es aquel en el que se rinde culto o se tiene comunión espiritual con otras organizaciones religiosas

Aunque hoy los esfuerzos de unión de fes y el ecumenismo son tendencias populares, no tienen el apoyo del Dios verdadero, quien dijo a sus siervos: “No lleguen a estar unidos bajo yugo desigual con los incrédulos. . . . ‘Por lo tanto sálganse de entre ellos y sepárense.’” (2 Cor. 6:14-17) Además, Jesús dijo claramente que al Todopoderoso hay que adorarlo “con espíritu y con verdad.” (Juan 4:24) Muy definitivamente eso no significa unirse a una causa religiosa con personas que tienen creencias que son contrarias a lo que las Escrituras enseñan. (Rev. 18:4, 5) Así, es debido al entendimiento que tienen de lo que Dios espera de los adoradores verdaderos, y de lo que son los propósitos y la dirección de la YMCA, que los testigos de Jehová no pueden hacerse miembros de esa organización.

¿Qué ocurrió en Austria?

La Sucursal austriaca [de los Testigos de Jehová] participa en un encuentro interreligioso:
"El pasado 9 de junio de 2009, el canciller austriaco Werner Faymann, se reunió con delegados de las 14 confesiones religiosas que operan en Austria y que están registradas como tales por el estado. Se hizo un llamamiento al diálogo sobre la cohesión de la sociedad austriaca enfocando las cosas que nos unen y, no reparando en lo que nos desune. Entre las religiones que estuvieron en este encuentro, estaban: los católicos, protestantes, ortodoxos griegos, judíos, mahometanos, mormones, budistas y los testigos de Jehová".
