Is it necessary calling the name of God?

Hi folks,
I would love to bring your attention to this short and true story that happened about years ago to me.
I was in the front yard doing some gardening , when I saw this 2 young man calling my attention with a book and a paper "journal" in their hand.
I approched and after spending a minute with them ,realised they were jehova witnesses.
Youngman1 : well ,I just don't understand why you refuse to pray to Jehova?
My answer: Excuse me ,I have a question to ask you first?
Youngman1: sure
My question; You have a dad?
Youngman 1: yes
My question? Do you call him by name or dad?
Youngman 1: hmm! ofcourse dad or dady
My reply: In that case why would you want me to call my heavenly FATHER ,Jehovah?
Young man 2 and Young man 1: Both started defending his name, how he loves to be called by his name, the power in his name ...blah blah
I was deaf! I just listned for a while without listening because I was sure and certain, these people , these two young beautful men were lost and confused. But not I!
